![]() Handmade silver headjoint, body and foot ![]() Seems each flute has a story to tell: This one was originally bought new as a graduation gift for the now principal flutist of the Redwood Symphony, and then was sold again in 1987 to its present owner, who is now only selling it in order to upgrade. The serial number of this flute traces its origin back to the late 60's or early 70's. See the following about Tom Green and Jack Moore's Relationship to the Heritage division of the Armstrong flute company: Tom Green and Jack Moore, who are (and were) well-respected world class flute makers, were at Armstrong at the time. It was carefully handmade in the late 60's or early 70's, competing with the top-of-the-line Haynes and Powells at the time, and becoming a prototype of sorts. This beautiful handmade professional vintage flute is in a much higher class than the current Armstrong Heritage flute, which is mass-produced.
